Final Exam- 4th Quarter Reflection

The 4th quarter project was to create a product, present the product and sell the idea of the product to the audience. This was to be done using graphics, a commercial, a fake  business and a website. The entire project including the website, graphics, commercial and animation took up almost the entire 4ht quarter. Creating the graphics and 2-d animation was probably the most difficult part of the project and took up the most time. A part of that time was spent before and after school. During that time I learned some ways to edit a video that I didn't know how to do before including how to add certain effects and change the size of a video clip. During the practice round of presenting the only feed back I was given was to add music during parts of the commercial that were too quite. I added the music that my team wanted for the commercial and added details that were suggested to our website such as our product functions. Looking back I think I could have done better with the commercial and the 2-d animation.

A majority of the time I used my time in class to finish the graphics, the 2-d animation, and the writing aspect of our website. I focused on areas that needed improvement like the team bio's and the product description. When we ran out of time during class I would come in after school and sometimes before school to continue working on the graphics 2-d animation , the product description and the team bio's.

During this time I used my creative strength's to come up with the functions of the product, our team bio's. I was flexible with my groups ideas and turned them into more practical ideas that could easily be worked into our presentation. For example the team slogan didn't make any sense for our product until I came up the idea of the headband keeping the wearer cool as they worked out. I am still to critical, harsh and expect too much of my team members. By expecting too much of my team I am only setting our team up for failure. I tried to improve in these areas by coming up with ideas to incorporate their ideas into the project.

 I liked editing videos and coming up with the made up bio's for our team and the product description. Next time I would try to manage my time more effectively. I would continue to do the graphic  and do more creative writing for our project.  From what I've learned this year I should spend more time experimenting during the editing process of making a video. Next year I would like to be more patient and expect less of people. I'm to stubborn and expect too much of people and myself.
